What kind of information does the site collect?
When you visit the site we collect and log your IP address, computer operating system, browser software, and Internet Service Provider. We refer to our Web site logs to improve the value of the information and services on our site and to aid site administration. The log information is not personally identifiable and no attempt is made to link the information with any other data so as to identify individual visitors.

We collect company name, address, telephone numbers, e-mail address and contact information in connection with basic listing submission and the enhanced listing service. Only business information is required; submitted information will be treated as 'business information' and not personal information.

When registering for the enhanced listing service, you are required to select a password and user name in order to be able to access the site's "Membership" section.

Use of Information
We use return e-mail addresses to answer the comments that we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. We delete e-mail addresses after responses are sent.

We reserve the right to send e-mail to users and members who submit listing information for the purpose of: (1) updates on changes or additions to features or services on the site; (2) promotional information about services offered on our site and by our advertisers; (3) regarding account status or changes to any service agreements.

We may from time to time share with partners or advertisers aggregate demographic information based on collected user data. Aggregate information does not identify individuals.

We do not sell, lease, license, or disclose personally identifiable information. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that doing so is necessary to: (a) comply with legal process: (b) enforce the terms of any agreements concerning the site or its services; (c) respond to the claims that any content violates the rights of third parties; (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Aquacosm, its users, or the public, or (e) administer the site.

Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, there are in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We do not collect credit card information online and so, therefore, do not use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.

Children's Privacy
We do not collect or maintain information at our site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our site is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Cookies
A "cookie" is a small text file placed on your computer's hard drive by a Web server for the duration of the visit (session cookie) or permanently (persistent cookie). When a member of our site logs into the members section, our server places a session cookie to maintain the session; the cookie lasts until the session becomes idle or is ended by the user. We use persistent cookies to determine the number of visitors visiting our Web site and pages visited. We also use a third party traffic measurement server (Search Gauge) to measure traffic on our site. This measurement method also uses persistent cookies.

Cookies do not allow us to gather personal information or compromise your security. The "help" portion of the tool bar on most browsers will tell you how to disable or delete cookies.

Changes
We may revise our Privacy Policy if our information practices change. We will post such changes on the site with an effective date. Our Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use Agreement.
